Packaging Design and Illustration
There are still few brands that speak to women in a relevant way in the cannabis industry. Businesses are going to lose on opportunities by not speaking to a significant segment of the market. I created this packaging project to show a missed opportunity in the cannabis market and how I would address feminine packaging.
Many of the brands out there now use earth tones and text or outrageous psychedelic imagery. This packaging design would stand out against the competition and speak to a more sophisticated female buyer. The central element of the jar label is a botanical illustration of the cannabis plant and uses white along with the rich jewel tones create balance. The play between the text and illustration is reminiscent of an art print in a style that more aligns with the elevated female customer.
